Carbon fibre roller

Non expanding carbon fibre rollers for flexographic printing, converting and tissue applications.

Journal ends are made to suit individual applications, enabling these rollers to be used as passing bars for expanding chucks thus meeting manual handling regulations, or used as idler and path rollers.

Advantages include:

  • elimination of vibration
  • better curve response
  • more precision when working with load cell
  • non-deformability

Excellent high strength-to-weight ratio, and with less inertia required to drive the roller to reach operating speed, energy savings accrue as a smaller motor can be used in driven applications.

Rollers can be supplied up to 420mm diameter with face lengths of up to 8000mm.

Unique features include:

  • carbon steel joint that creates a firm, smooth, completely stable connection without play
  • longitudinal elastic modules higher than 300 GPa (over 1.5 times the elastic modules of steel). Modules of over 350 GPa can also be supplied.
