710 and 710E Static Meters

The 701 measures static electricity on the surface of a material at a distance of 100mm and is the leading instrument of its class.

Designed for use in the production and processing of non-conductive materials, such as paper, plastics, packaging and textiles etc, the meter can measure up to 150kV and will show where and how the static is generated, its magnitude and its polarity. This allows engineers to set standards to avoid future problems ranging from acceptable levels of charge in hazardous areas to levels in products being purchased, processed or despatched to customers.

The 710 will also monitor the effectiveness of action taken to solve a problem. Should this involve static control equipment, the 710 will indicate the best position and monitor long-term performance.

The 710E, which measures 0-20kV, is intended for industries, such as electronics, where static charges are lower but equally problematical.
